It is not uncommon for live broadcasts using PCs and smartphones to heat up and become unstable when live broadcasts are performed over a long period of time, or that the power suddenly turns off. LiveShell X, which was developed with the assumption of long-term live distribution, enables stable and high-quality live distribution with just the main unit, camera, and internet connection without using a PC. You can use it with confidence even for long-time live distribution, such as setting up live cameras with fixed-point cameras that continuously distribute events from morning to night.

The maximum resolution for live streaming is 1080/60p, enabling live streaming of beautiful images even when displayed on a full-screen display that supports full HD. Since the bit rate can be finely adjusted, the optimum image quality can be set according to the communication line used. Encoding supports H.265/AAC, the latest codec, in addition to the current mainstream H.264/AAC. Since the same image quality can be achieved with about half the bandwidth of H.264, it is possible to deliver higher image quality than before even if the communication speed of the line is slow.

The live distribution services supported by LiveShell X support almost all major domestic distribution services. Furthermore, by dividing the encoding performance of 1080/60p, you can stream to up to 3 live streaming services at the same time. It can be used for a wide range of purposes depending on the settings, such as simultaneous distribution to multiple different live distribution services, distribution of multiple videos with different bit rates using multiple accounts on the same service, and mixing of RTMP and RTSP distributions. can.

Like live distribution, it is equipped with a function that can record up to 1080/60p full HD video on the microSD card attached to the main unit. Recording also supports H.265 in addition to H.264, and can be used as a recording device in H.265 format. Furthermore, live streaming and recording at the same time are supported, and live streaming and recording are realized only with LiveShell X. In addition to HDMI input video, you can record video including logos and telop videos inserted with the dedicated service "Dashboard".

Equipped with a large-capacity battery, it realizes continuous delivery for 6 hours, which is about twice as long as the conventional product with just the battery. You don't have to worry about running out of battery even when live streaming outdoors or on the move. Of course, if you attach an AC adapter, live distribution is possible without a time limit. It has a function to automatically switch to the battery when the AC adapter is disconnected, so the delivery will not stop in the middle.

Full HD, simultaneous live distribution, recording function, etc. are packed into a small housing that can be held in one hand.

There are screw holes on the bottom and side of the main unit, and by attaching it to the camera using the accessory shoe, you can achieve highly mobile live distribution. The small housing does not take up space not only outdoors and on the move, but also indoor live streaming.

Even if the power is turned off due to an accident such as a power failure during long-term operation of fixed-point cameras, etc., the distribution will resume as soon as the power is turned on. Even if the line is interrupted during live streaming while moving, it will continue to reconnect and automatically resume live streaming as soon as the line is restored, so there is no need to bother with resuming the live stream. In addition to HDMI, stereo line analog audio input is also supported. It is also possible to receive sound from the microphone equipment at the venue and incorporate it into LiveShell X distribution.

LiveShell X dedicated control service "Dashboard" is provided free of charge. There is no need to install special software, just a browser, and the operation is easy just by selecting the pull-down menu. A custom mode is also available for advanced users who want to pursue more detailed settings, and can freely set the bit rate and frame rate. Since it is operated via the Internet, it is also possible to perform distribution operations remotely from a location separate from the main unit. Even if the Dashboard cannot be connected, the distribution itself will not stop, and operations can be performed from the main unit buttons.

Dashboard is equipped with a function that allows you to insert captions using only LiveShell X without using separate equipment such as a switcher. Logo images and telops can be combined with the distribution video, and can be displayed or hidden at any time. You can also register multiple logos and telops and switch them according to the distribution scene.

Support for transparent PNG images as a new function of LiveShell X. By using a PNG image with a transparent background, you can use text of any shape and translucent watermarks for logos and telops.

The local mode, which allows live distribution without connecting to the Internet, can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as distributing highly confidential video only on the company LAN, distributing university lectures to satellite venues, and using surveillance cameras in stores. Furthermore, by using the RTSP server function, LiveShell X becomes a server, which eliminates the need for a distribution server, you can easily achieve live distribution in a local environment. By using H.265 for encoding, live distribution with higher image quality is possible even over communication lines with limited bandwidth.

By combining with Cerevo's video switcher "LiveWedge", it is possible to perform live distribution while switching 4-input full HD video. By using LiveShell X's recording function, you can switch video, mix audio, live stream, and record switched video in 1080p full HD image quality. By using LiveWedge's standard live distribution function, it is possible to simultaneously distribute to up to four live distribution services.

In addition to major domestic and overseas distribution services such as YouTube Live, Niconico Live Broadcasting, TwitCasting, Twitch, and Facebook, it also supports distribution servers such as Akamai and Wowza. You can also stream to your own server. In that case, please prepare a server that supports RTMP delivery. Each server has been tested with FMS 4.5, Wowza 3.5 and Red5 1.0RC2.

In addition to standard wired LAN and wireless LAN support, connection with an optional 3G/LTE modem is also supported. When live distribution is performed using a mobile line, the main unit can be directly connected to LTE, enabling more stable communication compared to mobile lines via wireless LAN such as tethering and mobile routers. Power is also supplied to the modem from LiveShell X itself, so a distribution configuration can be realized with only LiveShell X and the modem.
